Tripura, 6 June 2025: Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDC) has acquired land, sheds, and immovable assets of five industrial units under the AD Nagar and Bodhjungnagar Industrial Estates. These units had remained closed and abandoned for a long time, leaving prime industrial land and infrastructure unused. As a result, the corporation was unable to allocate these valuable resources to new industrial units.
Moreover, these five units had an outstanding rent of ₹1,47,25,183, and the owners had failed to respond to demand notices issued by the corporation. Left with no other option, TIDC proceeded with the acquisition under the provisions of the Tripura Public Premises Act.
The assets acquired include:
0.11 acres of land from Tirthamoyee Traders Pvt. Ltd (Unit-II) One shed from Krishi Shilpa Udyog & Co. 0.43 acres of land from Moti Lal and Gouri Food & Storage Pvt. Ltd. One shed from Shivam Aradha Industry 0.03 acres of land from Mahila Tant Shilpa Cooperative Society
In total, 0.57 acres of land and two industrial sheds have been taken over for reuse. According to the TIDC statement, the acquired land and infrastructure will be reallocated for new industrial establishments as per policy to promote investment and generate employment.
