Agartala, June 17: Emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education in Tripura, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Monday said that both traditional and digital modes of learning are being strengthened across the state under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking at a felicitation programme for meritorious students who passed the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations, Dr. Saha said, “The education department is working with priority to provide quality education. We are also giving special emphasis to digital learning infrastructure.”

The event was held at Town Hall in Agartala and was organized by the Bordowali Mandal Committee under the 8-Bordowali Assembly Constituency. Students who secured 60 percent or above were felicitated by the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
Dr. Saha, who also holds the education portfolio, referred to the central initiative ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ as a meaningful step to reduce exam-related stress among students. “Exams should be seen as a challenge, not pressure,” he said, encouraging students to compete in a healthy environment.
He noted that performance in examinations is not the only benchmark for future success. “Many people do well in life despite scoring fewer marks. With dedication and persistence, anything is achievable,” he remarked.
Touching on political participation, Dr. Saha endorsed Prime Minister Modi’s call to bring meritorious youth from non-political families into the political mainstream to improve the quality of public leadership.

The Chief Minister detailed several education sector reforms and achievements:
Implementation of the Nipun Tripura curriculum and Vidya Setu 9-week module. Launch of Bande Tripura and five e-Vidya digital channels.
