Agartala, June 13, 2025: A high-level administrative meeting was held today at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, following the directives of Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, to address the issue of illegal infiltration into Tripura.
The meeting was attended by Director General of Police Anurag, Home Secretary Abhishek Singh, Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), and senior officials from various central security agencies. The meeting focused on the growing concerns related to illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and the infiltration of Rohingyas into the state.
BSF sources informed the gathering that the number of illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh entering the state has decreased over the past three months. The meeting emphasized coordinated efforts among all security agencies to tackle illegal entry and maintain law and order along the state’s borders.
The state government is maintaining constant vigilance on issues related to infiltration and border security. The BSF, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, has been taking appropriate steps to arrest and repatriate infiltrators. Intelligence agencies are also working in tandem with border security forces to ensure the safety and integrity of the state’s borders.
