Tripura, 11 June 2025: A horrifying and heart-wrenching discovery early Wednesday morning has left residents of Shantipara in South Ghilatali, under Kalyanpur Police Station, in deep shock. The lifeless body of a newborn baby was found floating in the Khowai River by local farmers who had gone to work in nearby agricultural fields.
Upon spotting the decomposed remains in the river, locals immediately alerted the Kalyanpur Police. Officers arrived at the scene swiftly and recovered the body, which was later sent to Kalyanpur Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police confirmed that the deceased infant was a male. While the exact cause of death remains unknown, authorities are awaiting the autopsy report to determine further details.
News of the tragic incident quickly spread, sparking widespread outrage and sorrow in the area.
