Agartala, June 10, 2025: In a significant development aimed at strengthening the school education system, the Government of Tripura has issued formal posting orders for 224 newly appointed teachers across the state. The Directorate of Elementary Education, under the Department of Education, released two official memos on Monday confirming the appointments of 161 Graduate Teachers (Classes VI–VIII) and 63 Under Graduate Teachers.
The appointments are part of an ongoing recruitment process to address vacancies and improve teaching standards in government schools, particularly in rural and underserved regions.

Graduate Teachers to Receive Revised Pay Scale
According to Memo No. F.1(94-1)-DEE/ESTT/2024/334, dated June 10, 2025, a total of 161 candidates have been appointed as Graduate Teachers. They will receive a revised fixed monthly remuneration of ₹20,475. The appointed teachers are required to join their respective schools on or before June 16, 2025, and submit their joining report to the designated Head of Office as mentioned in the official posting list.
The memo clearly states that appointments are subject to verification of character and antecedents by the competent authority. It also outlines that appointees must furnish an undertaking in the prescribed format at the time of joining.
Posting Order for Under Graduate Teachers
In a separate memo, No. F.1(1-1)-DEE/ESTT/2024/333, the department confirmed the posting of 63 individuals as Under Graduate Teachers. Each will draw a fixed monthly pay of ₹16,050. These teachers have also been directed to report for duty at their respective places of posting by June 16, 2025.
The joining process includes submission of an undertaking and, in the case of in-service candidates, an acceptance or release order from their parent departments.
Pension Regulations as per Revised Guidelines
Both memos include a directive citing Notification No. F.8(1)-FIN(G)/2004(P-1)/108-305 issued by the Finance Department on July 13, 2018. As per the notification, government servants appointed on or after July 1, 2018, will no longer be covered under the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972. Instead, they will fall under the Contributory Pension Scheme, aligned with the broader pension reforms initiated by the Government of India.
Warning Against False Documentation
The Directorate has also issued a strict warning that failure to join the assigned post within the stipulated deadline or submission of false information or certificates will result in the cancellation of the appointment order without further notice. Furthermore, no travel or dearness allowance (T.A./D.A.) will be admissible for joining the post.
Administrative Oversight
The memos were signed by N.C. Sharma, Director of Elementary Education, and have been circulated to all relevant district and departmental heads for necessary administrative action.
The latest appointment orders reflect the government’s continued efforts to fill long-standing teaching vacancies and ensure that every classroom across Tripura has a qualified teacher. These postings are expected to contribute to the enhancement of educational outcomes and reduce teacher-student ratio disparities across government schools in the state.
