Udaipur: Jan 12. Terming voluntary blood donation as the highest form of service to humanity, PTG and Minority Development Minister Shukla Charan Noatia on Saturday urged people to donate blood regularly, stressing that there is no substitute for blood and every unit can save multiple lives.
The minister was speaking while inaugurating a one-day triennial conference and special blood donation camp at Jolaibari Community Hall, organised by the South District branch of the Health Department Employees’ Association. He lit the ceremonial lamp and praised the association for promoting social responsibility through such initiatives.
“No act is more selfless than donating blood. Those who donate are not just giving blood, they are saving lives,” Noatia said, calling upon citizens from all sections of society to participate in voluntary blood donation drives.
The blood donation camp saw enthusiastic participation, with 29 volunteers donating blood, setting a strong example of compassion and public service.
As part of the conference, a 21-member full committee of the association was also constituted. The programme began with floral tributes to Bharat Mata, underscoring the spirit of national service.
Among those present were Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Dutta, Employees’ Association State President Dipen Bhowmik, Standing Committee Chairman Shambhu Manik, State President Biplab Kar and South District Secretary Samar Sarkar, along with other officials and members.
