Tripura, 10 Jan 2026: Kanchanpur witnessed a high level of political enthusiasm and excitement on Saturday. At around 12 noon, a massive public rally was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Kanchanpur New Motor Stand ground. In the presence of the Chief Minister of Tripura, Professor Dr. Manik Saha, the entire venue was filled with saffron flags and vibrant slogans.
Along with the Chief Minister, the rally was attended by Minister Santana Chakma, Minister Tinku Roy, Minister Bikash Debbarma, former MP Rebati Mohan Tripura, BJP leader Bipin Debbarma, State General Secretary of the Janajati Morcha Swapan Roy Reang, North District President Kajal Das, Kanchanpur Mandal President Birendra Kar, and several other party leaders.
Addressing the gathering from the stage, the Chief Minister highlighted the overall development of the state, including progress in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and various public welfare schemes. He said that the BJP government is working tirelessly in the interest of the people and assured that this momentum of development would continue in the coming days. He also appealed for the cooperation of the common people to take the state further on the path of progress.
Later, while interacting with the media, the Chief Minister claimed that tribal communities are witnessing development across the state. At the same time, he alleged that divisive politics is being practiced in Tripura, but the tribal people have now understood that only the BJP government can ensure their real development. He further stated that the crime rate in the state has significantly declined over the last 20 years and has come down to around 8.3 percent at present.
On the same day, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, a total of 759 voters from 338 families joined the BJP, leaving CPI(M), IPFT, and Tipra Motha. Since morning, a large number of people from Kanchanpur and surrounding areas gathered at the venue. Adequate security arrangements were made by the administration to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the program.
According to political observers, this massive rally once again clearly demonstrated the organizational strength of the BJP in Kanchanpur.
