Tripura, 17 May 1026: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four people and left three others seriously injured on Sunday evening. The incident took place at around 4:30 PM while a vehicle carrying chips for the Nice Ram Company was travelling from Thalchhara.
According to reports, the vehicle bearing registration number TR05B-1792 lost control and met with a devastating accident. Four persons died on the spot, while three others sustained critical injuries.
The injured were first taken to Chawmanu Hospital and later referred to Kulai Hospital for advanced treatment. Among the injured is reportedly the driver of the vehicle, identified as Pala Tak.
The deceased have been identified as: • Din Joy Tripura (41), son of Gobinda Tripura
• Majida Tripura (58), son of Onyamoni Tripura
• Batas Joy Tripura (49), son of Kangshi Rai Tripura
• Narujoy Tripura (29), son of Nitya Da Tripura
The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the area. Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
