Agartala: May 09. The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar National Association of Engineers (BANAE) will organize its East Zone Convention, “BANAE_QUEST 2026,” on May 10 at Sukanta Academy, bringing together engineers, academicians, policymakers, students, and social activists from across the country to discuss social justice, constitutional rights, education, innovation, and empowerment of marginalized communities.
The convention aims to promote the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar highlights the role of engineers and professionals in building an inclusive and socially responsible India. Discussions during the day-long programme will focus on sustainability, emerging technologies, entrepreneurship, education, employment, and welfare measures for SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities.
According to organizers, the programme will begin with registration and a Constitution rally, followed by floral tributes and the inaugural session. The event will feature addresses by several distinguished personalities, including Sudhangshu Das, who will attend as Chief Guest, along with senior engineers, retired civil servants, and educationists.
One of the key highlights of the convention will be the felicitation of entrepreneurs and meritorious students under BANAE’s “Pay Back to Society” initiative. Financial assistance and academic recognition will be provided to selected students from institutions including National Institute of Technology Agartala and other educational institutes.
Technical sessions led by experts and academicians will also deliberate on engineering, innovation, constitutional safeguards, and socio-economic upliftment. The programme will conclude with a cultural event and dinner celebrating unity, diversity, and collective progress.
