Gomati: Mar 23. A student of Udaipur’s Hariyananda English Medium Higher Secondary School, Sourajit Das, has been selected for the prestigious Sakura Science Exchange Program, marking a proud moment for the institution. He is among 94 students from India chosen to participate in the 10-day educational visit to Japan.
During the programme, participants will gain exposure to Japan’s advanced science and technology while engaging in academic learning and cultural exchange.
The achievement has been largely attributed to the guidance of President’s Award-winning teacher Bidisha Majumdar, who has been instrumental in mentoring students in science and innovation.
Majumdar, known for her dedication and creative teaching methods, has consistently encouraged students to develop scientific thinking beyond textbooks. Under her mentorship, many students from the school have excelled in national and international science programmes, competitions, and exhibitions.
She focuses on practical knowledge, research-oriented learning, and innovation, motivating students to explore new ideas and opportunities in science and technology.
Sourajit’s selection highlights the growing potential of Indian students on global platforms when guided effectively. Educators say such achievements will inspire more students to pursue excellence in science and bring recognition to the country.
