Ambassa, Mar 23: CPI(M) candidate Atul Debbarma on Monday filed his nomination for the 10-Kulai Champahaur constituency for the upcoming ADC elections, accompanied by a large show of strength by the Left Front.
Before submitting the nomination, a massive rally was organised in Ambassa, drawing a significant number of party workers and supporters. The procession began from the CPI(M) district office and passed through key routes before culminating at Ambassa–Kamalpur Chowmuhani, where a public meeting was held.
Senior party leaders, including CPI(M) Dhalai district secretary Anjan Das and state leader Ratan Bhowmik, addressed the gathering along with other district and local leaders.
Later, Debbarma, along with a delegation, formally submitted his nomination papers to the Returning Officer.
Speaking to reporters prior to filing his nomination, Debbarma said his primary focus is to ensure peace and communal harmony in the state. He also stressed the need to restore democratic values and bring back the pace of development, expressing full confidence in his victory.
