Agartala: Mar 12. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Tripura State Branch will organise TRIMACON 2026, its annual state medical conference, on March 14–15 at IMA House in Agartala. The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. (Prof) Manik Saha, at a function scheduled at 5 pm on March 14 at Hotel Sonar Tori.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the IMA office by organisation Secretary Joy Chakraborty Agartala by the organising committee.
According to the organisers, the two-day conference will bring together leading doctors, medical educators and healthcare professionals from Tripura and other parts of India to discuss the latest developments in medical science and healthcare delivery.
TRIMACON is considered one of the key academic events of the IMA Tripura State Branch, aimed at sharing advancements in clinical practice, medical research and healthcare policy. The programme will include scientific sessions, keynote lectures, panel discussions and interactive academic exchanges covering various specialties of modern medicine.
Renowned experts and faculty members from across the country are expected to deliver talks on contemporary medical issues, benefiting both practicing doctors and young medical professionals.
Apart from academic sessions, the conference will also focus on emerging healthcare challenges, innovations in patient care and strategies to strengthen healthcare services in the region, particularly in the North-East.
The organisers expect hundreds of delegates, including physicians, specialists, postgraduate students and interns, to participate in the conference.
During the event, the IMA Tripura Souvenir 2026 titled “Nucleus” will also be released, highlighting the association’s role in the medical fraternity. Additionally, eight senior doctors from the state will be felicitated for their contributions to the medical field.
The IMA Tripura State Branch has invited all medical professionals to actively participate in the conference and contribute to the advancement of healthcare services in the state.
