“No MLA, No MDC – We Are All Tiprasa”: Pradyot Manikya
Addressing the gathering, Pradyot Manikya delivered a strong message of unity and struggle for the rights of the Indigenous people of Tripura.
He said that at this moment there are no MLAs, no MDCs and no kings, emphasizing that everyone present is first and foremost “Tiprasa” (Indigenous people of Tripura).
Calling for unity, he urged supporters to forget positions and work like warriors for the protection of “Hani Bwsa” (their land and rights) for the next month.
Pradyot also responded to rumours about internal divisions in Tipra Motha, stating firmly that Tipra Motha and the Tiprasa people will never break apart.
He said that as long as poor Tiprasa families, mothers and sisters stand with him, he is ready to face any challenge but will never betray his people.
In an emotional and assertive tone, he declared that although people have seen his love and tears in the past, they will now see his determination and anger in the fight for the rights of the Indigenous community.
Message of Unity Ahead of Elections
During the rally, TTAADC Executive Member Runiel Debbarma also addressed the media and said that the unity of Tiprasa people has remained strong since 2021.
He stated that as long as Bubagra (Pradyot Manikya) and the Tipra Motha party remain united, the people of Tripura will continue to stand together for their rights.
Runiel Debbarma claimed that around 8,000 to 9,000 bikes participated in the rally, representing nearly 16,000 to 18,000 people from the West District alone, sending a clear message that the Indigenous community is ready to fight for their rights and support their leader.
Party leaders said the rally demonstrated the growing political momentum of Tipra Motha’s youth wing ahead of the crucial ADC elections and highlighted the strong grassroots mobilization among Indigenous youth across the region.
