Udaipur, March 12: District Magistrate Rinku Lather visited Bhomrachhara ADC Village’s Christian Para under Amarpur RD Block in Gomati district on Thursday to review its development and tourism potential.
The village, already known for its natural beauty and cleanliness, has gained recognition as one of the cleanest villages in Gomati district. With only 11 families and around 40 residents, the small settlement has become a model of community cooperation, awareness, and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
Officials said initiatives are underway to develop the village as a tourism destination. The visit was also attended by Amarpur RD Block BDO Utpal Das and Amarpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ripita Saha, who reviewed ongoing plans for improving infrastructure and facilities for visitors.
According to sources, the development initiative has been taken with the efforts of BDO Utpal Das and Amarpur MLA Ranjit Das. The block administration has already prepared several plans to enhance the village’s scenic appeal and tourism potential. These include road improvements and the construction of homestays to accommodate tourists.
The government has also reportedly decided to invest over ₹2 crore for the overall development of the village. The proposed project will focus on strengthening infrastructure, preserving the environment, and promoting sustainable tourism in the area.
During the visit, District Magistrate Rinku Lather interacted with villagers and discussed various issues related to the village’s development. Speaking to reporters, she said that while Vanghmun ranks first among the clean villages of Tripura, Bhomrachhara Christian Para has emerged as the second cleanest village in Gomati district.
She added that the district administration is giving special attention to developing the village in an organised and attractive manner so that Bhomrachhara Christian Para can secure a prominent place on Tripura’s tourism map in the coming years.
