Khowai: Mar 10. Five candidates who successfully cleared the recruitment examination for the post of Ward Secretary under the Khowai Municipal Council have alleged that they are yet to receive their appointment letters even after three months of the final results being declared.
According to the candidates, the recruitment process was conducted officially for five Ward Secretary posts under the Khowai Municipal Council. A total of 317 applicants from across the state appeared for the selection process, which included both written and oral examinations. After the completion of all stages of the recruitment process, five candidates were finally selected.
However, despite being declared successful, the candidates claim they have not yet received their appointment letters. Concerned over the delay, the five candidates visited the Khowai Municipal Council office this afternoon to seek clarification regarding their appointments.
The candidates stated that they were unable to meet the Chairman of the Municipal Council during their visit. They also mentioned that this was not the first time they had approached the office regarding the issue, but earlier attempts to discuss the matter with concerned authorities were also unsuccessful.
Later, the candidates brought the issue to the attention of journalists working in Khowai. They expressed anxiety over the uncertainty surrounding their appointments and questioned whether they would eventually receive their offer letters.
The candidates have urged the Khowai Municipal Council to take immediate steps to fill the designated posts and issue the appointment letters without further delay.
