New Delhi, March 1, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of Class X and Class XII board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, in several Middle East countries due to the prevailing situation in the region.
According to an official circular issued by CBSE on Sunday, the decision applies to schools affiliated with the Board in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The Board stated that the examinations scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2026, have been postponed for both Class X and Class XII students. Revised dates for the examinations will be announced at a later stage.
The circular further mentioned that CBSE will review the situation on March 3, 2026, and take an appropriate decision regarding the examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards.
Students have been advised to remain in regular contact with their respective schools and follow official announcements for further updates.
The decision comes in view of safety concerns in parts of the Middle East, ensuring that students and examination staff are not put at risk.
CBSE officials emphasized that the Board is closely monitoring the situation and will issue further instructions as necessary.
