Aguli News (Tripura) 28-02-23: A housewife was seriously injured due to fire. The mother of the burnt housewife alleged that the in-laws tried to kill her by setting the girl’s body on fire. He is currently undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital. The incident took place in Shantinagar area under Teliamura police station around 1 am on Tuesday.
It is known that in Magh month of the previous Bengali year, the people of the house got married to Vishwajit Biswas, a young man working in Shantinagar area under Teliyamura police station. The mother of arsonist Manisha Roy alleged that after marriage, Manisha’s in-laws like husband Biswajit Biswas and mother-in-law Namita Biswas often tortured Manisha.
Manisha was allegedly beaten up by her husband and mother-in-law and thrown out of the house on Monday night. At around one o’clock on Tuesday, Manisha saw her body on fire and informed the Teliamara fire brigade. Firefighters reached the spot at Shantinagar and rescued the burnt housewife and brought her to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. After first treatment at the hospital, the doctor on duty at the hospital shifted him to the GBP hospital as his condition became serious. Meanwhile, after receiving the news of the incident, the police personnel rushed to the Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
