Agartala, March 31, 2026: Trisha Ghosh has alleged inaction by the police after filing an FIR against Kaushik Shil, the brother of Som Zebri, at the East Women Police Station on March 28, 2026, accusing him of fraud and harassment.
Speaking on the matter, Trisha said she had lodged the complaint after claiming that Kaushik Shil deceived her in connection with a marriage proposal. According to her, the marriage had been fixed, but she later came to know about his alleged physical relationships with several other women. After discovering this, she decided to call off the marriage.
She further alleged that after the marriage was cancelled, Kaushik Shil continued to harass her and spread defamatory statements about her in society. Trisha said she first raised the issue on social media and later approached the police with supporting evidence, following which the complaint was converted into an FIR and officially registered.
However, she expressed disappointment that even after four days of filing the case, the accused had not been arrested. Questioning the delay, she said she was unable to understand why the police had not taken action so far and appealed to the police administration to ensure her safety and provide justice at the earliest.
Trisha also said she has now taken legal recourse and is pursuing the matter through court with the assistance of her advocate, Saurav Chowdhury. She praised her lawyer for actively working toward securing justice in the case.
The matter has now drawn public attention, with concerns being raised over the pace of police action. Further legal and police proceedings in the case are being closely watched.
