Dharmanagar, Mar 27: With the upcoming TTAADC Elections 2026 approaching, security measures have been significantly intensified in the Kanchanpur subdivision of North Tripura district to ensure a peaceful and fair polling process. Senior police officials conducted inspections across multiple polling stations under the 1-Damchhara–Jampui (ST) constituency.
The inspection drive was led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Kanchanpur, accompanied by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Vanghmun Police Station, along with sector officers and other security personnel. The team reviewed the law and order situation and assessed security arrangements at various polling locations.
Special surveillance has been enforced across sensitive areas, particularly in the Jampui Hills and adjoining regions, to prevent any untoward incidents. Police have been directed to remain on high alert and ensure strict monitoring throughout the election period.
Authorities stated that the North Tripura district police are fully committed to safeguarding voters and maintaining law and order, with continuous vigilance being maintained across the subdivision.
