Dhalai, Mar 27: BJP State General Secretary and Damcherra–Kachucherra constituency candidate Bipin Debbarma on Friday intensified his campaign with a door-to-door outreach in Nepaltilla and Kukicharra areas, alleging failure of the incumbent TIPRA Motha leadership in addressing local issues.
In a statement, Debbarma criticised sitting MDC Dhirendra Debbarma, accusing him of neglecting the constituency over the past five years. He claimed that residents continue to face persistent problems related to road connectivity and drinking water.
“Over the last five years, many basic issues in this constituency have remained unattended. People are still facing problems related to roads and water supply,” Debbarma said.
Referring to the upcoming TTAADC polls, he expressed confidence in BJP’s chances, linking it to public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manik Saha.
“There is visible support for the BJP among the people. We are hopeful of forming the next council, and efforts will be made to address key issues in a time-bound manner,” he stated.
Appealing to voters, Debbarma urged them to support the BJP to ensure continuity of development.
“We appeal to the voters to support the BJP in all 28 Constituencies so that development work can be carried forward in the region. Priority will be given to improving road connectivity, water supply, electricity and communication facilities,” he added.
He further remarked that voters have experienced both the earlier CPI(M) government and the recent TIPRA Motha administration, and are now looking for improved delivery of basic services in the region.
