Ambassa, Mar 19: The District Magistrate of Dhalai, Vivek H.B., on Thursday announced that all preparations are underway for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections scheduled for April 12, 2026. He urged all political parties to strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) to ensure a peaceful and fair election process.
Addressing a press conference at the District Magistrate’s office, Vivek H.B. informed that a meeting with representatives of various political parties was held earlier in the day. During the meeting, officials briefed parties on key election procedures, including nomination filing, polling day protocols, and the counting process.
He emphasized that the Model Code of Conduct is already in force and must be followed during campaign activities. Political parties were instructed to maintain discipline and uphold a peaceful atmosphere throughout the election period.
The District Magistrate further stated that six ADC constituencies fall under Dhalai district: Chawmanu (5), Manu Chailengta (6), Dambur-Kachuchara (7), Ganganagar-Gondacharra (8), Kulai-Champahour (10), and Raima Valley (24). A total of 273 polling stations will be set up across the district.
According to official data, the district has 2,00,446 registered voters, including 1,00,687 male voters and 99,759 female voters.
Officials reiterated that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure smooth, transparent, and secure conduct of the elections.
