Tripura, 15 March 2026: A complaint has been filed at the West Police Station over an allegedly vulgar AI-generated image circulating on social media involving Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
BJP Tripura General Secretary Bipin Debbarma on Sunday approached the police and lodged an FIR against unknown individuals accused of creating and sharing the manipulated image online. According to him, the image was generated using artificial intelligence and posted on various social media platforms, which he described as an insult to the dignity of the Chief Minister.

Speaking to the media, Bipin Debbarma said that since yesterday they have been noticing that a “vulgar and objectionable” photo of the state’s popular Chief Minister has been created using AI technology and widely circulated online. He said the party has come to the West Police Station to file a case and demand legal action against those responsible.
Debbarma further stated that the Chief Minister is not the leader of one caste or one political party but represents all the people of Tripura. “The people of Tripura cannot accept such an insult to our honorable Chief Minister. Those who have created and posted such a disgusting image using AI must be brought to justice under the law,” he said.
He urged people to verify information before sharing anything on social media and warned that spreading misinformation, propaganda, and misleading posts can create unrest and division in society.
Debbarma further appealed for maintaining a healthy, dignified, and responsible social and political environment. He strongly protested against such propaganda and called upon citizens to refrain from spreading false information online.
He added that after filing the FIR, they will request the police administration to conduct a thorough investigation and identify the individuals involved in creating and sharing the manipulated image.
Police are expected to examine the complaint and initiate an investigation into the matter.
