Tura, March 11, 2026: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills District, has ordered the closure of all government offices across the district in view of the prevailing law and order situation and the ongoing curfew.
According to an official order issued by Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Aggarwal, IAS, all Government Offices, Sub-Divisional Offices, and Block Development Offices within West Garo Hills will remain closed until further orders.

However, the order states that offices providing essential emergency services will continue to function. Additionally, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Tura, will remain operational to oversee election-related processes and law and order coordination.
The directive has come into effect immediately from March 11, 2026, and will remain in force until further notification.
The order has been circulated to the Superintendent of Police, all ADCs/ACs/BDOs, and all Heads of Line Departments in the district for necessary action.
Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with the administration and follow all curfew guidelines to maintain peace and stability in the district.
