Tripura, 10 Jan 2026: Book sales worth ₹11,68,001 were recorded on the seventh day of the Agartala Book Fair. Today marks the eighth day of the 44th Agartala Book Fair. From the opening day till the end of the seventh day, total book sales have reached ₹77,67,507.
Like other days, various cultural programmes, book releases and discussion sessions were organized today as well. At the Vinayak Damodar Savarkar stage of the book fair, artists from Unakoti district presented cultural performances.
Two books from Deeptamalika Publications and fifteen books from Trikal Publications were released today. In the discussion session on “Mahasweta Devi in the light of her centenary,” Dr. Shipra Dutta, Dr. Rajib Ghosh and Dr. Ashis Kumar Baidya participated as speakers.
Another discussion on “The application of Artificial Intelligence as modern technology in the news media” featured Debashis Lodh, Abhishek Dey and Bhupal Chakraborty as speakers.
