Agartala, July 13: Senior officials from the Urban Development Department, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), and Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission (TULM), along with the Chief Engineer of the Urban Development Department, on Monday inspected the newly constructed Shelter House located in front of GBP Hospital in Agartala.
During the inspection, the officials reviewed the infrastructure and facilities available at the shelter and assessed its preparedness for operation. Discussions were also held regarding the proper management and regular maintenance of the facility.
The shelter has been developed under the Tripura Urban Livelihood Mission to provide safe and dignified temporary accommodation to homeless people in urban areas under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM).
Officials emphasised the need to ensure that the facility is properly maintained and managed so that those in need can access a safe place to stay.
