Agartala, July 13: Tripura MP Biplab Kumar Deb has facilitated medical care at AIIMS, New Delhi, for infant Manasree Chowdhury, following his earlier assurance to support the child’s treatment.
Manasree Chowdhury was taken to New Delhi on Sunday, where arrangements for her medical consultation were coordinated by the MP’s offices in Agartala and the national capital. Deb had also reportedly discussed possible medical assistance with the Union Health Ministry and consulted AIIMS specialist Dr. Shefali Gulati regarding the child’s condition.
Manasree’s father, Dhruva Chowdhury, expressed gratitude to the MP for his support. He said that despite being on emergency leave, Dr. Gulati examined the child, while a five-member medical team at AIIMS carried out a detailed assessment.
The MP’s Delhi office also assisted the family throughout their hospital visit. According to the family, Manasree’s AIIMS appointment was brought forward following Deb’s intervention, allowing her to receive medical attention earlier than initially scheduled.
Doctors are expected to review Manasree’s condition again on Friday. A decision on the next course of treatment will be taken after examining the medical evaluation report.
