Tripura, 22 June 2026: A devastating fire gutted two residential houses at Thalibari ADC Village under Jatrapur Police Station area, leaving a family homeless and causing extensive property damage. The incident occurred at around 3:30 AM on Monday.
According to local sources, family members of resident Milon Pal noticed flames suddenly engulfing their house during the early hours of the morning. Due to the intensity of the blaze, the fire quickly spread and completely destroyed two dwelling houses.
Upon receiving the information, Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations. Local residents also joined efforts to bring the fire under control. Despite their efforts, the houses could not be saved.
All household belongings, including furniture, clothing, valuable items, and important documents, were completely destroyed in the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities are expected to investigate whether the incident was accidental or caused by other factors.
The worst affected is the family of Milon Pal, whose only two houses were reduced to ashes. Having lost their shelter and possessions, the family is now facing severe hardship and uncertainty. Local residents have appealed to the administration and well-wishers to extend support to the affected family.
