Tripura, June 10: Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Tribal Welfare Hostel Committee, Bishalgarh, Shri Prithwiraj Debbarma, conducted a surprise visit to the ST Boys’ and Girls’ Hostel at Bishramganj under Sepahijala district to review hostel facilities and assess the welfare of students residing there.
During the inspection, he visited the dormitories, kitchen, dining hall, toilets, and study rooms. He also interacted directly with hostel boarders to gather feedback on the quality of food, drinking water supply, study environment, and other essential amenities.
A detailed review meeting was held with the hostel superintendent and staff, where several important issues related to student welfare were discussed. These included regular attendance monitoring, periodic health check-ups, academic support, infrastructure maintenance, electricity, safe drinking water, sanitation, and adherence to prescribed food quality standards.
The Chairman also emphasized the importance of an effective grievance redressal mechanism and instructed hostel authorities to take prompt action on concerns raised by students and staff.
During the visit, he directed the hostel administration to maintain strict cleanliness, regularly update stock registers, and submit pending requirements to the concerned department without delay. He reiterated that ensuring the welfare and overall development of students remains a priority of the Tribal Welfare Department and the Government of Tripura.
Addressing the students, Shri Debbarma encouraged them to remain disciplined, focus on their studies, and work hard towards building a bright future.
