Agartala, May 31: Stressing the importance of public participation in the development process, newly appointed Tripura BJP president Abhishek Debroy on Sunday said that collective efforts by people from all sections of society are essential for ensuring the overall progress of the Matabari Assembly constituency.
Debroy made the remarks after attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 134th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at Paratia under Matabari Assembly constituency. The programme was held at the residence of a BJP worker and marked his first participation in the monthly radio address after taking charge as the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Addressing party workers and local residents, Debroy said development cannot be achieved through the efforts of a single individual or organisation alone. “People’s participation is vital for development,” he said, urging citizens, party workers and community leaders to work together for the betterment of the constituency.
He further stated that while he will continue to serve the people as the MLA of Matabari, his new responsibility as BJP state president will require him to travel extensively across Tripura to strengthen the party organisation.
Calling for unity beyond caste and community lines, Debroy said all sections of society must come together to transform Matabari into a model constituency. He added that the BJP remains committed to carrying forward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of inclusive development and good governance.
Several party leaders and workers were present during the programme.
