Gomati, Mar 27. To ensure peaceful polling in the upcoming ADC elections, Gomati district police conducted a late-night road march across multiple sensitive areas under Udaipur sub-division on Thursday.
The march, led by Superintendent of Police Kiran Kumar K, began around 8:30 PM and covered Garjee, Tainani, Mayapuri and Dataram areas. Senior officers including SDPO Debanjali Roy, OC Sanjib Laskar and OC Tapan Das, along with TSR personnel, took part.
Police patrolled vulnerable zones to prevent any pre-poll violence and reassure voters.
The SP said strict vigilance is in place and warned that any disturbance will be dealt with firmly.
Locals responded positively, viewing the exercise as a confidence-building measure for free and fair elections.
