Agartala, Jan 31: The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has reopened the online application portal for the Combined Competitive Examination after addition of 28 post of Supervisor (ICDS) exclusively for Ex-Servicemen candidates, a move that has raised eyebrows among aspirants and observers, as the benefit is not extended to other eligible candidates.
According to a notification issued on Saturday, the decision follows the latest addendum dated January 27, 2026, to Advertisement No. 18/2025 under the Tripura Combined Competitive Examination. The addendum includes posts reserved for Ex-Servicemen, prompting TPSC to allow them a fresh seven-day window to apply online from February 5 to February 11, 2026 (up to 5:30 PM), with age relaxation as per government norms.
However, the Commission has made it clear—implicitly—that no such opportunity will be provided to other categories of candidates, even though the recruitment process is already underway. Critics argue that this selective reopening appears beyond explanation and does not strictly align with TPSC’s own standard recruitment norms, which generally emphasize uniform timelines and equal opportunity.
Importantly, TPSC has also clarified that the examination schedule will not be postponed, meaning previously applied candidates will not get any additional time or relief.
