Tripura, 30 Jan 2026: A tragic road accident occurred on the National Highway at the Sidhangchhara area of Kumarghat, where a 10-wheeler truck collided head-on with an electric auto (e-auto). The severe impact resulted in the death of four persons, while three others were injured. The injured were immediately shifted to the Unakoti District Hospital for medical treatment.
Visuals from the accident site highlight the seriousness of the crash and have once again raised questions about road safety and regulation of e-autos on busy highways.
Meanwhile, yesterday in Khowai, an e-auto collided with a truck, leaving a college-going girl student seriously injured. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was referred to Agartala’s GBP Hospital for advanced treatment.
