Tripura, 29 Jan 2026: Emphasising that every child is born with unique talents, Tripura Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday said that proper educational arrangements are essential to nurture and develop these abilities. He also stressed the need to impart value-based education alongside science-based learning and to encourage students to take interest in the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Saha said that true education lies in the manifestation of the inherent knowledge within students. To integrate modern technology with the education system, the state government has introduced Personalized Adaptive Learning facilities in 210 government schools, which will benefit around 64,000 students. He described the initiative as a landmark step for improving the quality of education in Tripura.

Highlighting efforts to reduce academic stress and ensure the mental well-being of students, Dr. Saha said that schools are also being encouraged to promote healthy cultural activities. He added that the government is working towards the modernisation of education in Indigenous-dominated areas as well. Currently, 21 Eklavya Model Residential Schools are operational in the state, and efforts are underway to establish 15 more.
