Udaipur, Jan 30: As part of National Road Safety and Zero Fatality Month–2026, the Gomati District Administration, in collaboration with the Transport Department, organised street plays at various locations across the district to spread awareness on road safety and social responsibility.
The key focus of the programme was the State Government’s ‘Rahaveer Scheme’, under which any good Samaritan who helps an accident victim reach a hospital within one hour is awarded a certificate and an honorarium of ₹25,000 by the State Transport Department. Additionally, 10 Rahaveers are selected annually for a national award, with the Central Government granting ₹1 lakh each.
