Tripura, 21 Jan 2026: On the occasion of Tripura Statehood Day, the names of recipients for the State Civil Awards and Statehood Day Awards have been announced in recognition of distinguished contributions in various fields.
The awards will be presented at the state-level Statehood Day celebration to be held on 21 January 2026 at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan.
Under the State Civil Awards, the Tripura Bibhushan Award will be conferred posthumously on eminent educationist Dhirendra Chandra Dutta.
The Tripura Bhushan Award will be awarded posthumously to former Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Biswabandhu Sen, and to noted screenplay writer Biplab Goswami.
The Sachin Dev Burman Memorial State Award will be presented to eminent folk artist Surya Kumar Debbarma (Sadagar).
The Maharani Kanchanprabha Devi Memorial State Award will be conferred on Champa Das of Kamalghat.
The State Award for Science and Environment-related Activities will be awarded to Dr. Arijit Das, Associate Professor and Head of Department, Bir Bikram Memorial College.
In addition, under the Statehood Day Awards, the Good Citizen Award will be presented to Gautam Das of Purba Pratapgarh.
The award for Best Startup Entrepreneur will be given to Atkalapa Biotechnology LLP of Nagiichhara.
The Best Entrepreneur in Agriculture and Horticulture category will be awarded to Dhanbabu Halam of Simbukchak Village, Salema.
The Best Entrepreneur in Fisheries award will go to Krishna Debbarma of Mohanbhog, Sepahijala.
The Best Entrepreneur in Animal Husbandry category will be awarded to Ratan Debnath of Bishramganj.
The Best Entrepreneur in Handloom and Handicrafts / Beekeeping category will be conferred on Uttam Kumar Das of Teliamura.
The Best Entrepreneur in Industrial Enterprise category will be awarded to Dipak Dutta of Kanchanbari, Phatikroy.
The award for Best Mobile Application will be presented to Satyabrata Biswas of Purba Yogendranagar.
The Best Cooperative Society Award will be conferred on Tulamura PACS Limited of Gomati district.
The Best Educationist Award will be presented to Lakshman Malakar of Belonia.
The Best Sportsperson Award will be awarded to Shriparna Debnath of Natunnagar.
The awards aim to honour individuals and organisations for their outstanding contributions to society and the overall development of Tripura.
