Tripura, 18 Jan 2026: Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary yesterday. During the visit, he reviewed the arrangements related to food, cleanliness of living spaces, and medical care for various species of animals, birds, and reptiles housed in the sanctuary.
Speaking to the media, the Governor described Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary as an ideal recreational destination amidst lush greenery. He said the sanctuary provides an excellent opportunity for the general public to learn about wildlife and biodiversity.
Highlighting the tourism potential of the state, Governor Nallu said that improved connectivity with different parts of the country has led to a significant increase in tourist arrivals in Tripura. He added that the state government is working to promote Tripura’s tourist destinations and their natural beauty across the country.
During the visit, the Governor was accompanied by Sepahijala Additional District Magistrate Upendrakishore Jamatia, PCCF of Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary Prabin Agarwal, Joint Secretary of Lok Bhavan Jayanta Bhattacharjee, and other officials.
