Agartala, Jan 06, 2026: Maharaja Bir Bikram University (MBBU), Agartala, Tripura has issued an official notification inviting applications for recruitment to various teaching posts including Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in different departments.
According to Advertisement No. MBBU/Fac-06 dated January 05, 2026, eligible Indian nationals having Permanent Residence Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) can apply for these vacancies. The recruitment will be done as per the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix.
The university has announced vacancies in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Political Science, Library and Information Science and Kokborok. Posts are available under different categories including Unreserved (UR), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST), as per the 100-point roster of the Tripura reservation policy.
The pay scale for Professor is Academic Level-14 (Rs. 1,44,200 – Rs. 2,18,200), for Associate Professor Academic Level-13A (Rs. 1,31,400 – Rs. 2,17,100) and for Assistant Professor Academic Level-10 (Rs. 57,700 – Rs. 1,82,400).
The last date for submission of complete applications is February 06, 2026. Applications must reach the office of the Registrar, MBB University, Agartala, PIN-799004 on or before the closing date.
