Agartala: Jan 04. Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Dhankar on Sunday visited Kanchanpur subdivision in North Tripura to review law and order and security along the India–Bangladesh international border. After inspections, the IGP stated that the overall law-and-order situation in the subdivision is satisfactory and that the police administration is performing its duties effectively.
During the visit, the DGP inspected the Khantalang BSF camp located along the international border, the 13th TSR Battalion headquarters at Subhashnagar, and also conducted inspections at Vanghmun and Kanchanpur police stations.
The inspection team included North Tripura Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ashish Kumar Thakur, and other senior police officials.
Speaking during his visit to Kanchanpur police station, the IGP expressed confidence that the police administration will continue its proactive efforts to maintain law and order and ensure further improvement in the coming days.
