New Delhi, August 4 | SHABD: The Monsoon Session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly is set to commence this afternoon, with several key issues and legislative matters on the agenda during the five-day sitting.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is expected to table two significant Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports — one on the state’s finances for the financial year 2023–24, and the other focusing on the Welfare of Building and Other Construction Workers for the year ending March 31, 2023.
A major legislative highlight of the session will be the anticipated introduction of the Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Bill, 2025. The proposed legislation aims to bring greater transparency and accountability in the regulation of school fees across the national capital.
This will also mark the first paperless session of the Delhi Assembly, following the successful implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA). The digital transition was officially launched yesterday by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal at the Assembly premises.
