Tripura 19 March, 2025: To maintain peace and security, restrictions have been imposed on public movement within a 500-meter area along the India-Bangladesh border in Bishalgarh and Sonamura subdivisions of Sepahijala district. As per Section 163 of the BNSS, the District Magistrate of Sepahijala has issued an official notification enforcing these restrictions from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM daily.
These restrictions came into effect on March 13 and will remain in force for the next three months. However, exemptions have been granted to personnel engaged in maintaining law and order, including military, paramilitary, and state police forces. Additionally, individuals with valid permits issued by the Superintendent of Police, Sepahijala district, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) of Sonamura and Bishalgarh, as well as government employees on emergency duty and individuals requiring urgent medical attention, will be allowed movement during the restricted hours.
Violators of this order will face punitive action under Section 223 of the BNSS.
