20 February 2025, Bhopal (MP): Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (M.P. Transco) and in collaboration with Red Cross Society and local district hospitals, training workshops on “CPR and other similar life saving techniques” are being organized in the transmission line maintenance sub-divisions, substations etc. located in the district headquarters of M.P. Transco in Madhya Pradesh. In this sequence, a training workshop was organized in Shivpuri under the joint aegis of MP Transco and Shrimant Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Medical College Shivpuri.

Executive Engineer Shri Ajit Verma highlighted the objectives of the program and the usefulness of the subject. In the workshop, all the officers and employees of the company’s Testing Division Shivpuri and Ultra High Pressure Maintenance Sub Division Shivpuri were given practical and useful training by Dr. Shilpa Agarwal (Head of Department and Associate Professor, Department of Anaesthesia) and Dr. Neeti Agarwal (Associate Professor, Department of Surgery) of Shrimant Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Medical College, Shivpuri.
About 50 maintenance, operating and security personnel of MP Transco participated in the workshop. Detailed training of CPR technique was given with the help of human dummies used for CPR training and some videos. Each participant practiced CPR technique on a human dummy under the supervision of a subject expert and received training related to first aid. During the practice, the subject expert closely examined the participants’ body posture and technique usage and improved them.
The doctors also provided detailed information on other life saving techniques such as rescuing a person drowning in water, rescuing a person suffering from any type of shock, first aid in case a coin or any other object accidentally gets stuck in the windpipe and injuries, etc. The questions of the participants were also resolved in this camp.
