Tripura 13 Feb, 2025: West Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Balai Goswami passed away in Chennai. He had traveled to Apollo Hospital, Chennai, on Tuesday for a routine health check-up. However, on Wednesday night, he suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed his last around 3 AM.
His sudden demise has cast a pall of gloom over the political and administrative circles of Tripura. Leaders and well-wishers have expressed their condolences, mourning the loss of a dedicated public representative.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed deep sorrow over Balai Goswami’s untimely demise. In a social media post, he wrote:
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of West Tripura Zilla Parishad’s esteemed Sabhadhipati and my party colleague, Late Balai Goswami. His demise is an irreparable loss to the Bharatiya Janata Party family and his countless admirers. After learning about his illness yesterday, I immediately contacted his daughter and the hospital authorities. I never imagined he would leave us so soon. The state has lost an exceptionally skilled organizer and administrator today.
I pray to the Almighty for his departed soul’s eternal peace and extend my deepest condolences to his bereaved family and loved ones in this difficult time.

Several ministers, MLAs, and BJP party workers have also expressed their condolences, remembering Balai Goswami’s contributions to public service and administration. His passing marks a significant loss for Tripura’s political and administrative landscape.
