Udaipur 2 Jan, 2025: In 1951, late Ramesh Chandra Dutta established Ramesh School as a private institution outside Agartala, aiming to provide quality education to the children of the state. Today, the school has earned nationwide recognition and stands among the most prestigious institutions in Tripura. Now known as Udaipur Ramesh English Medium Higher Secondary School, the school celebrated its Platinum Jubilee, inaugurated by Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister referred to Ramesh School as a “galaxy of stars.” He highlighted that the school’s reputation has transcended state and national borders, with its alumni excelling in various significant positions globally. He remarked that Ramesh School has a rich legacy, producing leaders, including a Chief Minister and MLAs of Tripura.
Cm Manik Saha commemorated the school’s founders, late Ramesh Chandra Dutta and his son, Dhirendra Chandra Dutta, and emphasized preserving its heritage. He discussed the steps taken by the state government to align with the National Education Policy introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These initiatives include building new school infrastructure, introducing smart classrooms, and modernizing educational facilities.

He also mentioned programs like free bicycles for girls, advanced coaching for competitive exams, and the Nipun Tripura project to enhance student skills.

During the event, the Chief Minister and Finance Minister were conferred lifetime membership by the school’s alumni association.
