Agartala, February 23, 2025: A special surveillance drive has been initiated to collect food samples and assess the quality of various food items. On February 19, 2025, under the initiative of the Chief Medical Officer’s office of Khowai district, inspections were conducted at several shops in Subhas Park, Kalyanpur, and Ghiltali Bazaar areas. A total of 19 types of food samples, including paneer, oil, ghee, and spices, were collected to ensure their quality and safety. These samples will be sent to the State Regional Food Laboratory in Agartala for testing.
The inspection drive was attended by Food Safety Officers Jennifer Debbarma and Kinkar Debbarma from the Chief Medical Officer’s office of Khowai district. This information was shared through a press release from the Department of Family Welfare & Disease Prevention.
