Agartala, December 5, 2024: The 15th All India Conference for Bhavan’s Principals of Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools concluded on a high note with a grand closing ceremony and valedictory programme at Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir (BTVM), Narsingarh, Agartala. This prestigious four-day event, held from December 2 to December 5, 2024, witnessed the participation of approximately 85 principals and dignitaries from across the nation, fostering collaboration and celebrating excellence in education.
The event featured insightful contributions from notable personalities, including Dr. Anita Bhalla, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Amritsar, and Smt. Parvathy E., Principal, Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, who shared their valuable perspectives on the conference’s objectives and achievements.
The valedictory address was delivered by Shri Pauly Menacherry, Joint Director, Shikshan Bharati, Mumbai Head Office, emphasizing the importance of visionary leadership in shaping the future of education. Shri Debashis Chakraborty (Retd. IFS), Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra, also graced the occasion, offering his blessings and words of encouragement.
Two distinguished principals, Smt. Ratna Saha, Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Sulochana Natu Vidya Mandir, Pune, and Smt. Sreeja Unnikrishnan, Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School, Kozhikode, Kerala, were felicitated for their outstanding contributions and decades of dedicated service. The honours were presented by Smt. Swapna Shome, Principal, Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir, along with Shri Pauly Menacherry and Shri Debashis Chakraborty.
During the ceremony, certificates and mementos were awarded to all participating principals by Shri Pauly Menacherry, Shri Tapan Lodh, Vice Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra; Shri Swapanendu Sen, Member of Kendra Committee; Shri Debashis Chakraborty; and Dr. G.V. Subramanian, Director of Agartala and Kolkata Kendras.
A vibrant cultural programme showcasing Tripura’s rich heritage and traditions enthralled the attendees and added a touch of local flavour to the event. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Smt. Pompi Majumdar, Headmistress of the Primary Section, Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir.
