Agartala, December 3: The four-day Media Skill Development Workshop, organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the Agartala Press Club, concluded successfully today. The workshop, inaugurated by Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on the evening of November 29, witnessed active participation from around 300 journalists representing print, electronic, and web media across the state.
The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance journalistic skills and improve professional standards.
Prominent trainers included Gautam Lahiri, President of the Press Club of India; Sudipta Sengupta, Biplab Sau, Bikash Das, and Ayan Bhattacharya from Kolkata; along with Anirban Roy and Pijush Ranjan Bardoloi from Guwahati. Local senior journalists also contributed by sharing valuable insights and training the participants.
The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including reporting techniques, news writing, fact-checking, video editing, and emerging trends in the media industry. Participants praised the workshop for being highly educational and impactful.
During the closing session, officials from the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs commended the participants and assured them of similar training programs in the future to continue supporting professional growth in the field of journalism.
