New Delhi, June 28: The Tripura Global Pineapple Festival 2026, being held from June 27 to June 29 in New Delhi, is showcasing Tripura’s world-famous Queen Pineapple, premium mangoes, and the state’s rich agricultural heritage. The three-day festival coincides with International Pineapple Day and aims to promote Tripura’s agricultural products on the national and global stage.
The inaugural programme was attended by Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Tripura Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath, and other distinguished guests.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries visited the exhibition stalls displaying a variety of agricultural products from Tripura, including its renowned Queen Pineapple. The festival provides a platform for farmers, entrepreneurs, and exporters to connect with buyers and promote the state’s produce.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings and conveyed an encouraging message on the occasion, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of Tripura’s pineapple growers. His message highlighted the growing global recognition of Tripura’s Queen Pineapple and reaffirmed support for strengthening the state’s agricultural sector.
The festival also features vibrant cultural performances by artists from Tripura’s Information and Cultural Affairs Department, showcasing the rich traditions of the state’s tribal and non-tribal communities.
The three-day event is expected to enhance market opportunities for farmers, encourage agricultural exports, and further establish Tripura’s Queen Pineapple as a globally recognized premium fruit.
