Tripura, 08 May: CM Dr. Manik Saha said the state government is ensuring employment opportunities through a transparent recruitment policy, where educated unemployed youths are getting jobs based on their merit and qualifications.
Addressing a recruitment letter distribution programme held at Pragna Bhavan on Friday, the Chief Minister stated that the state government has so far provided government jobs to 20,960 people across various departments. In addition, 24,078 people have been employed through outsourcing and contractual appointments in different sectors.
The Chief Minister said that recruitment letters are being distributed publicly because the government is committed to transparency in the appointment process. He added that along with efficiency in government work, the administration aims to strengthen the link between development and public service.
Referring to Narendra Modi, he said the Prime Minister’s emphasis on skill development under the vision of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” has helped India progress in every sector. He mentioned that the country’s employability rate has increased from 33.95 percent in 2013 to 54.81 percent at present.
The Chief Minister further stated that the Tripura government is also focusing on skill development to accelerate progress. Developmental projects are being implemented across the state, including ADC areas, ensuring benefits for people belonging to all communities, including Indigenous groups.
Urging the newly recruited employees to work with dedication, transparency, efficiency, and a service-oriented mindset, he said government employees should think beyond personal interests and contribute towards public welfare. He also noted that earlier there was a shortage of technical staff in departments such as Health, but the government has now taken steps to address those gaps.
He informed that e-office services have already been introduced in Tripura from the Assembly level to Panchayat institutions to speed up administrative work. Due to proper implementation of development and reform-oriented initiatives, Tripura has secured the top position in the country in reform-related progress, he added.
A total of 115 appointment letters were distributed during the programme for posts under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Revenue Department, and Election Department. Among them, 27 were appointed as Radiology and Imaging Technologists, 39 as Laboratory Technicians, 19 as Optometrists, 14 as Revenue Inspectors, and 16 as Election Inspectors.
The Chief Minister formally handed over the appointment letters to the selected candidates during the event.
