Tripura, 24 Jan 2026: A resident of South Manikbhandar area under Kamalpur Police Station, Rinku Shil (son of Makhan Shil), has alleged that his wife and three minor children have been missing since October 2025.
Speaking to the media, Rinku Shil said his wife Suparna Das left home suddenly without informing anyone, taking along their two daughters and their one-and-a-half-year-old son. He further claimed that she also took away the family’s hard-earned savings, estimated to be around ₹10 lakh, before going into hiding.
According to Rinku Shil, despite extensive searches over a long period among relatives and in various localities, no trace of his wife or children has been found so far. With all efforts proving unsuccessful, he said he was compelled to approach the media for help.
He also informed that he would be filing a missing diary at Kamalpur Police Station today. Sources said that the missing woman, Suparna Das, is originally from Bardun village under Morachhara area.
Meanwhile, in a desperate attempt to trace his family, Rinku Shil has been visiting different areas, showing their photographs on his mobile phone and appealing to the general public for any information regarding their whereabouts.
