Tripura, 21 Jan 2026: Four new polling stations have been approved under the 56–Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency.

The decision follows the meeting held on 22 August last year for the rationalisation of polling stations in the constituency, which was attended by representatives of recognised national and state political parties.
In continuation of the process, a meeting with representatives of recognised national and state political parties was held on 16 January at the office of the Electoral Registration Officer (Sub-Divisional Magistrate), Dharmanagar.
With the unanimous consent of all political parties, it was resolved that the rationalisation decisions taken on 22 August last year would remain unchanged, and accordingly the opening of the new polling stations has been approved.
The information was conveyed by the District Election Officer, North Tripura, through a press release.
The District Election Officer further informed that polling station 56/1 Ragna Anganwadi Centre is proposed to be relocated to the Ragna Panchayat Office.
Three sections—Kalibari Road, Kalidighi Para, and Vivekananda Road—under polling station 56/29 Bir Bikram Institution (South Wing) will be shifted to polling station 56/45 Dharmanagar Tehsil Office.
The Madhya Nayapara section will be bifurcated, and a new section named College Link Road will be created.
The newly created section will be shifted from polling station 56/42 Dinanath Narayani School (South Wing) to polling station 56/41 Dinanath Narayani School (North Wing).
Similarly, the Mandabh Para section will be bifurcated to create a new section named South Mandabh Para.
This new section will be shifted from polling station 56/46 Forest Range Office to polling station 56/49 Golden Valley Higher Secondary School.
These changes aim to improve voter convenience and ensure the smooth conduct of elections in the 56–Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency.
